Camilla and King Charles III will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, and the royal couple commemorated the milestone with a few sweet photos — and hidden love messages.

For the professional pictures, Camilla got all dolled up in a very wedding-like look, wearing a long-sleeve white maxi dress by her wedding gown designer, Anna Valentine, who created her wedding day looks two decades ago.

She accessorized with her frequently-worn Fabergé lily of the valley brooch, which appropriately represents eternal love and was once owned by the Queen Mother.

Camilla added a pair of pearl drop earrings to complete the simple look.

Meanwhile, Charles wore his own sentimental piece, pairing a blue pin-striped suit with a tie in a very similar color and pattern as the one he wore on his wedding day.

Due to their status as a couple who had both been previously divorced, the pair wed on April 9, 2005 at the Windsor Guildhall in a very low-key civil ceremony, followed by a blessing at St George’s Chapel, Windsor.

For the civil ceremony, Parker Bowles wore a short, cream dress with a matching coat and large, feathered hat by Philip Treacy.

She then changed into a less traditional look, choosing instead a light blue gown with gold embroidery as well as a gold feather headpiece for the blessing. Both looks were designed by design duo Anna Valentine and Antonia Robinson.

The milestone snaps, taken at the Villa Wolkonsky in Rome, were lensed during the their four-day trip to Italy, during which the couple is scheduled to visit the Colosseum and attend a State Banquet at the Palazzo Quirinale. Charles will also make history as the first British monarch to address a joint session of the Italian parliament.

“As we begin our first visit to Italy as King and Queen, we are so looking forward to celebrating our twentieth wedding anniversary in such a special place – and with such wonderful people!” the pair captioned their post on Instagram.

The visit marks His Majesty’s 17th official outing to Italy, as well as his first overseas trip this year as he continues his ongoing cancer battle.

In February 2024, Buckingham Palace announced that Charles had been diagnosed with cancer after he underwent a procedure for a benign enlarged prostate.

Two weeks ago, the King was hospitalized due to complications with his treatment but he returned to work shortly after.
