Chrissy Teigen admitted to a recent alcohol relapse in a candid message about her sobriety journey.

The model vulnerably shared the news in an Instagram post teasing Thursday’s episode of her “Self-Conscious” podcast featuring Holly Whitaker, author of “Quit Like a Woman.”

Teigen wrote that she had been “dreading” the release and clarified it had “nothing to do” with her “incredible” guest.

“Holly Whitaker changed my life, changed my perspective and changed how I view the f–king beast that is alcohol,” she shared alongside a smiling selfie with the book, which she described in the podcast as a “powerful memoir and recovery manifesto.”

“But to have to admit to all of you: I let it back into my life,” she continued in the post. “To let a lot of you down, oh I feel it deeply.

“I was so proud every time one of you told me on the street that Holly and I made you want to rethink drinking, reframe drinking,” the former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, 39, confessed.

“I still am. The truth is, I don’t know what I’m doing. I one hundred percent know I like me better sober. I one hundred percent know I get more done, I absolutely feel better in my body without it. And I am one hundred percent pissed that I can’t be normal and have a cocktail with my husband on vacay without it turning into 8 and feeling like sh–t.”

Teigen, who publicly announced her sobriety journey in 2020, then shared personal details of her relationship with alcohol.

“I’m tired of throwing up on a Tuesday,” she wrote, adding that she does not want to feel like needs “a shot to talk to a crowd.

“I hate that the thought of maybe having a drink can consume me some days. So your rational mind is probably like ‘OK THEN STOP, BITCH!’ and god, do I f–king AGREE!

“All I know is my relationship with the whole process of sobriety (and messing up) has changed for the better,” confessed the mom of four, who is also “deeply aware” of what could happen if she does not address the issue.

“I guess my plan right now is to continue to be mindful with it,” she wrote.

Teigen wrote she knows sobriety is an improvement in her lifestyle and that she can attend a concert sober and still have “the greatest time ever.”

“I can avoid absinthe at the Ren Faire and be so abbbbsolutely full of joy,” she remarked.

“Photos of my kid’s birthday parties are no longer me with bleary, sleepy drinking eyes. And I am proud of that.”

The cookbook author concluded the post in part by admitting she knows her “relationship with alcohol just isn’t normal and never will be” and thanking her fans for allowing her to “figure it out openly in front of you all.”

“This is for all the people who are figuring it out,” she continued. “And to the sober community, god I am still so, so proud of you. Until we meet again 😭.”

Teigen, who married John Legend in 2013, detailed why she decided to get sober in a December 2020 Instagram Story.

Referencing Whitaker’s book, she divulged she was “done with making an ass of myself in front of people” and “tired of day drinking and feeling like s–t by 6.”

She revealed she had been clean since reading the book a month earlier and called it “an incredible read.”

Teigen has given regular updates on her journey since then, admitting in 2021 to “a few (wine) hiccups in the road.” In January 2022, she again celebrated her sobriety with her social media followers.

“I have no idea what I’m doing honestly, but I do know a few things: I now have endless energy, way less anxiety (no more benzos!) … it’s pretty cool,” she wrote via Instagram at the time.

In July 2022, Teigen celebrated a full year of continuous sobriety and shared she was feeling “really good.”

During her podcast episode released Thursday, Teigen reflected on her early days of sobriety.

“I loved the initial journey of being sober,” she shared. “And it felt very big, and it felt almost exciting. And fun.”
